The five goal areas in language learning also known as the 5 Cs (Communication, Culture, Connection, Comparison & Community) are the core of any good lesson plan. An effective lesson plan in language learning is the one which incorporate as many Cs as possible.

@ HLA we use this as our guideline and try to incorporate it through various hands-on activities . We keep incorporating many activities in our various classroom and sometime it becomes difficult to choose which one to share first:)

In this blog post we would like to share a science experiment displaying “Capillary Action” a beautiful example of STEM Integration , successfully done and explained by our kids in simple Hindi sentences . In this activity we focused on two Cs which are Communication and Connection of 5 Cs.

Through this hands on activity kids not only learnt various color names, different verbs , specific vocab for the whole process but they also learnt to use habitual sentence formation. Like : पहले रंग लेते हैं , फिर पानी डालते हैं etc.This way they were able to explain the whole process in Hindi.
